Dance Penticton Ballroom & Latin
Then And Now

Then: Funtimers Ballroom Dance Club

A small group of friends, Ken & Win Morrey, Alan & Ann Forsey & Robert & Linda McKenzie, met in 1993 & discussed starting a dance club.

They wanted to have a friendly venue to enjoy Latin & Ballroom dance & started dancing at the Library auditorium in Penticton on Friday evenings. Slowly but surely the number of dancers increased. In 1994 the Funtimers Dance Club was formed by our founding & lifetime members:

Ken & Win Morrey, Alan & Ann Forsey, Robert & Linda McKenzie, Rusty & Heather Harris, Peter & Louise Quandt, Harry & JoAnn Kapeikis & Roger Sissau.

We started dancing at the Library Auditorium and later at St. Saviours Church basement. Originally we were called the Funtimers Dance Club & this was changed in 2000 to the Funtimers Ballroom Dance Club.

Now: Dance Penticton

In 2015 our club changed in name to the one we use today, “Dance Penticton”. We have successfully grown over the years & have over 60 members from Beginners, looking to practice their newly learned steps, to more advanced dancers & all levels in between.

We meet most Friday evenings from October through April from 7:00pm until 9:00pm upstairs at the Elks Hall in Penticton.

Everyone is welcome!
